Currently serving as Senior Staff Engineer and
Product Manager of Marsh-McBirney, a Hach-Company Brand, Jim Darby
has over 34 years of experience in the water and wastewater flow
industry. During his tenure at Marsh-McBirney, Jim held numerous
positions and is considered an expert on electromagnetic technology.
Jim’s flow knowledge and experience was instrumental in the design
and development of numerous Marsh-McBirney flowmeters and he holds a
patent on flow measurement techniques. A frequent contributor of
technical and opinion articles in the various flow industry
publications, he is also an active member of the American Water
Works Association (AWWA) where he currently serves as a member of
the Standards Committee on Rate Type Flowmeters. He is also a member
of the Water Environmental Federation (WEF).
